We're on the lookout for a reliable, motivated Night Shift Machinist to join our team.
No prior experience? No problem! We're happy to train someone with the right attitude and a strong work ethic.
This is a great opportunity to build practical skills in machinery operation, quality control, and production within a supportive environment.
About the Role
Working on our night shift, you'll help ensure seed is processed and packaged efficiently, to our customer specifications. You'll play an important role in keeping production running smoothly outside of standard day shift hours, and our dynamic environment means you could be operating a different machine each night.
Key Responsibilities:- Follow a strong safety-first approach at all times
- Operate machinery in line with health & safety requirements
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, or near misses
- Maintain safe work practices throughout the shift
- Set up, operate, and monitor seed processing equipment
- Adjust machine settings to meet quality and throughput targets
- Maintain excellent hygiene standards to eliminate contamination risks
- Double check job information and specifications for accuracy
- Frequently handle 25kg bags
- Troubleshoot minor issues or escalate to the Nightshift Supervisor
- Perform basic machine maintenance
About You:- Available to work 10-12 hour night shifts
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable lifting 25kg bags repeatedly
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working night shift hours
- Reliable and safety-conscious
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Able to work unsupervised
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, agriculture, or machinery operation is beneficial - but not required. Full training will be provided.
