  • Pace Power & Air is expanding, and we're looking for a driven, technically minded sales professional to join our New Plymouth team. This is a rare opportunity to represent market‑leading capital equipment brands - including JCB Power Products Generators, Kaeser Compressors, and Kärcher Professional Cleaning Equipment - while helping grow a nationwide business with strong momentum across the Power, Air, and Cleaning sectors.

    What this role is about

    You'll be the face of Pace Power & Air across Taranaki and surrounding regions, building strong relationships with industrial, commercial, agricultural, and trade customers. The role blends capital equipment sales, service business development, and equipment hire, giving you a broad and engaging portfolio with plenty of room to grow.

    You'll work closely with both our Sales and Service teams, ensuring customers receive the right solutions, the right support, and the right long‑term outcomes. The position is based out of our New Plymouth office, with some travel outside the region as required.

    Key responsibilities:
    • Develop and grow sales across our premium equipment brands: JCB generators, Kaeser compressors, and Kärcher professional equipment.
    • Identify and convert new business opportunities across industrial, commercial, agricultural, and contractor markets.
    • Support and grow our service and maintenance offering, ensuring customers understand lifecycle value and long‑term support options.
    • Promote and coordinate equipment hire solutions where appropriate.
    • Act as a key link between Sales and Service teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
    • Prepare proposals, quotes, and solution packages with commercial accuracy and clarity.
    • Represent Pace Power & Air at trade shows, field days, and industry events, including major agricultural field days.
    • Maintain strong product knowledge and stay up to date with new technologies, features, and unique selling points across our brands.

    • Proven experience in technical sales, account management, or a customer‑facing role in a related industry.
    • Strong communication skills - clear, confident, and professional in both written and verbal interactions.
    • Commercial awareness and the ability to understand customer needs, project requirements, and value‑based selling.
    • A willingness to learn new products, technologies, and market segments.
    • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
    • A clean Class 1 driver licence.
    • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to build trust and long‑term relationships.
