Magnum Compliance is looking for a reliable and mechanically experienced individual to join our Christchurch team in a casual evening role through to the end of April.
This position would suit a qualified mechanic, mechanically experienced tradesperson, or someone confident carrying out core automotive repair tasks independently.
Hours:
3-5 nights per week
Approximately 4:30pm - 5:00pm start
Finish around 9:00pm
Immediate start for the successful candidate
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend repairs.
Use diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot vehicle issues.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
Changing brake pads and rotors
Replacing shocks
Changing and fitting tyres
Completing oil and filter services
Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
What We're Looking For:
Proven mechanical experience (qualified mechanic preferred but not essential)
Ability to work efficiently and unsupervised
Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Strong attention to detail and safety
Reliable and punctual
Positive, can-do attitude
Demonstrate through own actions a commitment to Health and Safety at work when undertaking work or observing others in the workplace.
This is a hands-on role in a practical workshop environment. We're looking for someone who can step in and get started immediately.
