Rangitikei Helicopters Ltd is a family-owned helicopter operation working across a diverse range of sectors. Our operations include scenic and charter flights, DOC work, hunting and tramping transport, lifting and survey work, fire fighting, and extensive agricultural spraying and topdressing.

We're a small, close-knit team of 6 who work hard, look out for each other, and operate to high professional and safety standards.

We're looking for a Helicopter Ground Crew Member to join our team.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be working closely with pilots and crew to support helicopter operations across a wide variety of environments - often in remote and rugged locations.

Expect early morning starts, weekend work, and variable hours depending on operations.

Due to our strict duty time and fatigue management system, applicants must live within 30 minutes of our Rewa base (or be prepared to relocate).

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting daily helicopter operations
Loading and handling fertiliser and spray equipment
Operating pumps, conveyors, trucks, telehandlers, and farm machinery
Assisting with agricultural, fire fighting, lifting and charter operations
Maintaining high safety and communication standards
Ensuring equipment is maintained and operational

Skills & Experience

Required:

Full NZ Driver's Licence
DG licence (must be obtained before start date)
Good level of physical fitness
Mechanically minded
Confident around machinery and vehicles

Highly Valued:

Agricultural experience
Machinery operation experience
Class 2 licence
