About Us
J Marr Physiotherapy has been a cornerstone of the South Auckland community since 1993. Founded by Jeff and Julia Marr, our clinic has grown from a passionate duo into a multi-site practice with a reputation for clinical excellence, innovation, and a warm, "hands-on" approach. We are more than just a clinic; we are a dedicated team that values professional integrity and genuine patient care.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly capable professional to join us in a pivotal new role. Currently, our practice management is handled by our owners, but as we continue to evolve, we are ready to transition these responsibilities to a dedicated Practice Manager.
This is a unique position starting with a strong focus on day-to-day frontline administration, while gradually taking the reins of practice management. You will work closely with Jeff and Julia to streamline operations, manage our small administration team, and ensure the smooth running of our purpose-built facilities.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Frontline Excellence: Provide a welcoming, professional "first point of contact" for our patients, managing bookings, ACC claims, and general enquiries.
- Leadership: Manage and support our small reception/admin team, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Change Management: Actively lead the transition of management tasks from the owners to yourself, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Practice Operations: Oversee daily clinic workflows, health and safety compliance, and administrative systems to maintain our high accreditation standards.
What We Are Looking For:- The Right Attitude: You are naturally welcoming, empathetic, and possess a "can-do" approach. You understand that the patient's journey starts at the front desk.
- Flexibility: You thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable wearing multiple hats - from filing and answering phones to high-level operational planning.
- Experience in Change: You have a demonstrated ability to manage change. You understand the nuances of working within a "couple-owner" model and can communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive the practice forward.
- Technical Savvy: Strong day-to-day administration skills are a must. Experience with ACC and practice management software is highly advantageous.
Why Join Us?:- 30 Hours Per Week: Offering a work-life balance that is hard to find in senior roles.
- Professional Growth: We are committed to developing this role. This is your chance to shape a Practice Manager position and make it your own.
- Supportive Culture: Work alongside a team of experienced physiotherapists and support staff who value collaboration and quality care.

If you are an experienced administrator with leadership aspirations and the flexibility to help us grow, we would love to hear from you.
