    About the Role

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role will support the design, development, and delivery of innovative equipment and systems. You will work closely with customers, engineers, and the workshop team, contributing across the full design lifecycle - from initial concept through to manufacturing and installation.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop initial design concepts
    • Visit customer sites to gather requirements and conduct site surveys
    • Design fit-for-purpose equipment that complies with relevant standards and regulations
    • Produce accurate engineering drawings ready for manufacturing
    • Work closely with workshop and purchasing teams to support manufacturing and installation
    • Review and oversee the manufacture of designed equipment
    • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency
    • Develop and implement effective design strategies
    • Collaborate with engineers, managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
    • Demonstrate a proactive and positive approach to workplace safety
    • Understand and uphold health and safety requirements
    • Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment
    • Undertake additional ad hoc tasks as required to support business operations
    Role Details:
    • Location: 496 Waterloo Road, Islington
    • Reporting to: Design Manager
    • Employment Type: Permanent, minimum 40 hours per week
    • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
    Skills & Qualifications:
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with Autodesk 2D and 3D CAD software
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Creative, innovative thinker with strong planning ability
    • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
    • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
    • Professional attitude with strong verbal communication skills
