Toyota training provided and a team with industry‑leading knowledge
Supportive, passionate team environment
About us
Our group has four Toyota sites across the North Shore and West Auckland, as well as a Lexus dealership and two Bridgestone stores. Our kind, diverse and talented team of around 170 people is what sets us apart. We're proud to have served the wider Auckland community for over 30 years.
Toyota is the leading automotive brand in New Zealand, and we're focused on winning the hearts of New Zealanders through exceptional customer experience and mobility for all. We're incredibly proud to represent such a special and reliable brand.
About the role
Working at North Shore Toyota as a Parts Interpreter is a great move - the workshop is busy with quality work, and there's a constant need for accurate and timely part supply. North Shore Toyota is our Group's hub for internal work, so many of your "customers" are your colleagues across the business.
This role is all about being our in‑house automotive parts expert. You'll work closely with our Workshop Controller and continually grow your knowledge of Toyota catalogue parts, helping us all keep up with an evolving industry.
Your day‑to‑day work includes three key areas:
Parts ordering, processing and managing the full parts sales process
Caring for, protecting and securely storing stock
Helping our customers - in person, by email and over the phone
You'll also be part of our wider Parts team, which operates across four hubs in Auckland, so you'll provide overflow and backup support to other sites when needed.
What we offer
In return for your hard work, we commit to:
Genuine investment in your career - we're passionate about supporting your growth
Competitive remuneration and quarterly commissions
A range of work perks including discounts (parts, tyres, cars, etc.), wellbeing initiatives, social events, long‑service rewards and a partnership with Boost
A leader who is trained in leadership and committed to supporting you
Being part of a team that is passionate about cars - both factory and performance
What you'll bring
To be considered for this role, you'll ideally have:
NZ citizenship or residency
Some Parts Interpreter or similar experience (preferred but not essential)
Customer service experience - you genuinely enjoy helping people
Strong communication skills with both customers and suppliers
The ability to understand queries at the counter, answer calls, provide pricing and availability updates, and advise when deliveries arrive
Confidence with technology and the ability to learn systems quickly
A reliable, resilient and solutions‑focused mindset
A team-focused individual with an energetic, positive outlook and a professional approach
Experience in a dealership environment (nice to have, not required)
Bonus: familiarity with Toyota systems such as Microcat or TUNZ
