    About the role

We are looking for a Trade Parts Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service by helping customers identify and purchase the right parts for their vehicles. As one of our in‑house automotive parts specialists, you'll continue to grow your product knowledge every day, staying up to date with an industry that is constantly evolving.

    • Using your knowledge of parts catalogues to identify components quickly and accurately.
    • Providing friendly, professional advice on part fitment, compatibility and basic technical questions.
    Managing parts ordering and inventory:
    • Ordering (and returning) parts from Toyota New Zealand and other suppliers.
    • Picking, packing, and receipting parts when stock arrives at your site.
    • Keeping inventory organised, secure, and at the right levels to avoid shortages or excess.
    • Maintaining accurate customer records, orders and documentation
    Creating advocates for life:
    • Clearly communication with customers over the phone and email about part availability, pricing, orders, and delivery updates.
    • Handling customer questions or complaints with urgency, empathy, and professionalism.
    • Supporting new customer-experience initiatives and giving feedback on what's working well.
    Continuous Improvement & Learning:
    • Staying up to date with Toyota product knowledge through regular training.
    • Applying a Kaizen mindset by suggesting improvements that make our parts processes smoother, faster and more accurate.
    • Speaking up when something is in the way of getting the job done properly!
    Experience and Attributes:
    • At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in parts.
    • At least 1 year of customer service experience (any industry) - you have to LOVE talking to customers and helping them.
    • Proficient using Microsoft suite.
    • Experience using Microcat and / or TUNZ is preferred but not essential.
    • You learn new skills quickly, including new technologies.
    • You're a Team player who enjoys connecting with people.
    • You have solid verbal & written skills.
    • Positive and problem solver mindset.
In return for your hard work, we commit:
    • Investment in your career!  We are passionate about supporting our people and what they want to get out of their career.
    • Work perks: car discounts - servicing, parts, etc, wellbeing and social events throughout the year, competitive pay, long service rewards and a partnership with Boost.
    • A leader trained in being a leader - we are so proud of this.
