About Us:
Doorpro 2020 Limited is a well-established pre-hung door company servicing residential and commercial properties in Hawkes Bay for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable service with a friendly, solutions-focused approach.
We are currently looking to fill two positions within our team.
Joiner
We are seeking a skilled joiner or someone with building experience who can bring their expertise to our team. This is a hands-on role where your skills will directly contribute to the high-quality products we deliver to our customers. You will be part of a team that takes pride in delivering quality workmanship of our pre-hung doors.
What You'll Be Doing:- Manufacturing and assembling joinery components
- Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Measuring, cutting, sanding, and finishing timber
- Workshop duties and occasional onsite installation
What We're Looking For:- Proven experience in joinery or building, trade qualification is a bonus
- Active problem solver with a positive work ethic
- Confident with tools, machinery, and joinery techniques
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit (some heavy lifting)
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Full Drivers Licence an advantage
Trainee
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to get their foot in the door of the joinery trade and gain some experience on the tools. As part of the team, you'll receive full on-the-job training, giving you the chance to gain valuable experience while working alongside skilled professionals who are invested in your development.

What we're looking for:- Someone with enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills
- A positive, reliable, can-do attitude with initiative
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on, practical work (some heavy lifting required)
- No previous experience or trade qualifications are required
- Full Drivers Licence an advantage
Requirements for both positions:- Must be an NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work visa
- The successful candidate may be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
Hours are between 7.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. All PPE and tools provided.
