This is a hands-on role offering a wide range of industrial projects, long-term stability, and the opportunity to work with modern systems and technologies.
The Role
You'll be involved in the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of industrial electrical and automation systems across multiple industries.
What You'll Be Working On:- Industrial electrical installations and servicing
- Cool store refrigeration systems
- Automation and control solutions
- Fault finding, maintenance, and system improvements
- Energy efficiency initiatives and thermal imaging

About Us
Locally owned and operated, John Ward Electrical services Tauranga, Matamata, and surrounding areas. We're known for our expertise in industrial electrical solutions within sectors such as:- Post-harvest and agricultural facilities
- Food manufacturing and processing
- Specialist fabrication and industrial operations
We take pride in our workmanship, reliability, and long-standing client relationships.
What You'll Bring:- NZ electrical qualification and current registration and current ERWB practising licence
- At least 2 years' experience in an industrial electrical environment
- Full drivers licence
- Experience with refrigeration, control systems, and industrial maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Exposure to PLCs, automation, and data networks (beneficial but not essential)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication and a professional approach to work
- Availability for participation in an on-call roster
