    • We are a cheerful North Shore based medium-sized Chartered Accounting firm with one partner and a flat hierarchy.

    Due to our wonderful employee relocating to the South Island, we are currently looking for an Intermediate Accountant (CA) to join the team.

    We have a large diverse client base, whom enjoy a good conversation and sound down to earth advice. We are easy to access, with good on-road parking close by, and shared staff parking available. We work hard, enjoy a laugh and have a family-first approach to life.

    Our ideal candidate will:
    • Be Tertiary qualified and either CA qualified, or nearly there (we are an approved training organisation).
    • Have proven experience within a CA firm in New Zealand.
    • Have experience working on a range of entities, from sole traders to corporates.
    • Have experience with accounting software, preferably Xero and/or iFirm.
    The role entails:
    • Preparation of financial statements for all types of entities, and the relevant taxation returns.
    • Preparation of Income Tax, GST and ongoing tax management.
    • Liaison and communication with clients.
    • Assist with setting up accounting software for our clients.
    To be successful you will be:
    • Pleasant, down to earth and well presented.
    • Willing to learn, to tackle any job, and to chip in with administrative tasks if this is required.
    • With strong command of the English language, both verbal and written, and have a pleasant phone manner.
    • Committed to accuracy and quality within a timely manner.
    • Able to work unsupervised, and have strong computer skills, and be willing to ask for help.
