Photon Profile Services is a precision engineering company based in Rotorua, specialising in laser cutting and press brake services for a wide range of industries. Using advanced technology, we deliver accurate, cost-effective components with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
As a small, skilled team, we take pride in practical problem-solving, attention to detail, and doing the job right the first time. We're now looking for a motivated CNC Laser / CNC Press Brake Operator to join our growing operation.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be involved across multiple stages of the production process, including:- Operating laser cutting and press brake machinery
- Loading materials using a forklift
- Sorting, labelling, and managing stock
- Packaging customer orders
- Assisting with local deliveries when required
For the right person, this role offers genuine opportunities for growth, including training in CAD design, production planning, and nesting.
About You
We're looking for someone reliable, practical, and keen to develop their skills in a quality-focused environment.
Ideally, you'll bring some of the following:- Ability to read drawings and produce accurate work
- Strong numeracy, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- CAD experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and tidy work habits
- Good physical fitness and a strong health & safety mindset
- Forklift and gantry crane licences (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related industries
- Clear communication skills and a positive attitude
- Analytical thinking and a willingness to learn
- A consistent and reliable work history
