Westham Industries Ltd is a well-established and respected seed dressing business based in the heart of the Canterbury district. Located just 15 minutes east of Ashburton, we process and dress a wide range of high-quality, locally grown specialty seeds for both domestic and international markets.
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Seed Store Operator to join our friendly and hardworking team.
About the Role
In this hands-on role, you will be involved in the day-to-day operation of our modern seed processing facility, including:- Operating Cimbria Delta seed dressing machines and our new packaging/palletising plant
- Forklift operation
- Accurate record keeping
- General duties as required around the plant
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work environment
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:- A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
- Reliability and motivation
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in an active role
- The ability to think on your feet and take initiative
Previous experience in seed processing or a similar industry would be an advantage, but is not essential - full training will be provided for the right candidate.
