The Role
This is site leadership.
You will lead a small maintenance team and ensure every property is delivered to a consistent, high standard - clean lines, healthy plants, sharp presentation.
Key responsibilities:- Run daily maintenance schedules with structure and clarity
- Lead by example onsite
- Capture professional before and after photos of every job (uploaded daily)
- Use Fergus Job Management Software to review scopes, log notes, track labour, and upload documentation (training provided)
- Monitor plant health, turf, irrigation, and presentation
- Look after the maintenance vehicle - clean, organised, and fully stocked
- Record product and material usage accurately so storage restocks run smoothly
- Drive a company-branded vehicle considerately and efficiently
- Communicate proactively with clients and the office
- Maintain tools, equipment, and overall site discipline

What we do every day counts more than what we do every now and then
About You:- 3+ years landscaping or horticulture experience
- Strong plant knowledge (Auckland conditions preferred)
- Confident weed identification and control (Growsafe ticket or knowledge)
- High standard hedge trimming and pruning skills - efficient and precise
- Experience leading a small team
- Comfortable using digital systems
- Full NZ driver's licence
- Organised, steady, accountable
You take ownership of your sites, your vehicle, and your standards. You work with pace, but never rush the finish.
Demonstrated strength in plant knowledge, weed identification, and trimming excellence is more important, however advantage could also be given to applicants holding Primary ITO Level 3 or Level 4 qualifications. (NOT ESSENTIAL).
