We're looking for a talented, proactive, and quality-focused QA & Test Analyst to join our Christchurch-based team.
In this highly hands-on role, you will be responsible for building and owning an automated testing framework from the ground up across web, mobile, and IoT platforms. As the QA gatekeeper for Connexionz' products, you will play a critical role in protecting product quality, release readiness, and customer trust.
What you'll be doing:- Build, design, and own an automated suite of test scripts from the ground up across web, mobile (iOS & Android), and IoT devices.
- Act as the QA gatekeeper for public-facing, high-quality, and high-data-transfer products, ensuring only release-ready software reaches customers.
- Ensure software quality excellence through thorough, end-to-end testing of new features and updates prior to release.
- Define and enforce testing standards, methods, and release readiness criteria across all product lines.
- Develop and maintain detailed, well-structured, project-aligned test plans.
- Design, execute, and document both manual and automated test cases for cloud, mobile, and hardware-integrated systems.
- Implement comprehensive testing across databases, APIs, endpoints, product use scenarios, regression, negative testing, bug retesting, and usability.
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and high-load / data-transfer validation testing to identify defects early.
- Design and develop automated testing tools and frameworks, with a strong focus on scalable automation.
- Investigate customer-reported issues and partner with engineering to drive resolution.
- Develop and maintain User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and execution.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to continuously improve test automation and quality processes.
What we're looking for:- A relevant tertiary degree.
- 5+ years' experience as a Test Analyst.
- Hands-on experience testing and automating IoT, web, and mobile applications (iOS, Android).
- Proven experience designing and building automated test frameworks and web / API automation.
- Strong technical capability, including experience with DevOps, C#, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML and Bash scripting.
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, defect tracking, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Good working knowledge of TestRail.
- Familiarity with MS Office 365, Confluence, SharePoint, and JIRA (highly desirable)
