Foton Motor Group is a global commercial vehicle manufacturer, operating in 130+ markets worldwide. Foton New Zealand, part of the Ebbett Group, is the official importer and distributor of Foton commercial vehicles and is entering an exciting new phase of growth in the NZ market.
As we build our brand presence with an expanded product range, including next-generation commercial and new energy vehicles, we're looking for a motivated, self-driven Truck Sales Consultant to help grow market share and build strong customer relationships.
Based in our new, purpose-built Head Office in Hamilton and reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a growing brand, supported by an experienced and collaborative leadership team.
What You'll Be Doing:- Driving the sale and profitability of Foton commercial vehicles in line with agreed KPIs
- Managing the full end-to-end sales process across the Foton truck range
- Applying technical understanding to recommend tailored vehicle solutions which align with customer operating requirements
- Preparing, presenting and closing quotes, and following up opportunities
- Identifying new business opportunities and developing existing customer relationships
- Monitoring competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategy
- Championing customer satisfaction from initial engagement through to delivery
About You
You're an energetic and commercially-minded sales professional who enjoys autonomy, accountability, and driving outcomes.
Here's what will set you up for success:- Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within automotive, transport, capital equipment or similar industries
- Experience in automotive or heavy vehicle environments - sales, sales operations, or aftersales backgrounds welcomed
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging a wide range of stakeholders
- Sound administrative and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ideally CRM systems
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working and managing priorities independently
- Results-driven, resilient, with a proactive, growth-focused mindset
- Team-oriented, supportive, and willing to step in when needed
- Full NZ driver licence (Class 1 or higher)
