Pushbikes has been sharing the stoke of cycling for over 25 years. We're looking for a strong salesperson to become a key part of our Papanui in-store team.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role. You'll be a go-to person on the shop floor, trusted to look after customers properly, contribute to sales performance, and help keep the store running smoothly day to day.
You'll work closely with the team, engage with our loyal customer base, and assist with both in-store and online enquiries. Between customers, you'll be involved in bike assembly, order processing, merchandising, and general store operations.
This is not a passive retail role. We want someone who takes ownership, communicates well, and understands that good sales and great service go hand in hand.
What the role involves:- Selling bikes, parts, accessories, and services on the retail floor
- Delivering high-quality customer service in-store and online
- Processing online orders and click and collect from time to time
- Bicycle assembly and light mechanical work, such as tube and tyre replacement
- Stock management, including inwards goods and stocktakes
- Product merchandising and maintaining store presentation
- Assisting with in-store customer events and promotions
- Supporting day-to-day store operations as required
What we're looking for:- Strong sales ability and confidence dealing with customers
- Clear communication skills and a professional attitude
- A genuine interest in cycling and bike products
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction, but also use initiative
- Reliable, organised, and comfortable juggling tasks in a busy retail environment
Previous bike shop experience is an advantage, but not essential for the right person with the right attitude.
