Forever Green Ltd, has been creating gardens in the Canterbury region since 1987 giving us over 34 years in the industry. We are involved in earthmoving, siteworks, hard and soft landscaping.
We are currently looking for an experienced Excavator / Machinery Operator to join our Christchurch based team.
Key responsibilities include:- Operating diggers, skid steer, loaders, class 1 and 2 trucks
- Maintaining machinery and following safe work practices at all times
- Labouring where required and operating a plate compactor
Our successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure, strong communication and teamwork skills, problem-solving ability, excellent time management and attention to detail.
You will also have the following:- Proven excavator operating experience and capable operating a digger
- Understanding of surface prep for concrete, paving, lawns and gardens
- Strong final trim skills (to 10mm), fine levelling and be able to operate in tight spaces
- Excellent physical fitness
- Ability to meet deadlines
- The ability to approach every challenge with a positive attitude
- A fantastic work ethic, with an enthusiastic attitude
- A conscientious, proactive approach towards health and safety and good up to date knowledge of safety practices
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test/alcohol test
A class 2, class 4 and WTR endorsement will be beneficial.
