About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead our Auckland operations, with a strong focus on container transport and port logistics. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing our fleet, drivers, and daily scheduling to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily container and port transport operations
- Manage driver schedules, dispatch, and fleet utilization and disciplinaries
- Liaise with ports, depots, and customers to ensure smooth container movements
- Ensure compliance with all transport, health & safety, and company policies, and Log books
- Monitor KPIs and drive operational improvements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Scheduling servicing and maintenance and breakdowns
- Co-ordination of permits and renewals
About You:- Proven experience in container transport and port operations (essential)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Sound understanding of CoR, H&S, and NZ transport compliance
- Competent with transport management systems and reporting
- Understand Permits and weight restrictions across fleet
