About the role

This vacancy has arisen due to an internal transfer within Farmchief, creating an opportunity to join our Waikato Service team.

As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining customer and dealer-owned agricultural machinery. You'll also assist with field service work when required.

The important (but necessary) stuff:

Diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a range of machinery
Testing machinery and clearly communicating issues to customers or management
Using electronic monitors, software, and computers to calibrate and operate equipment
Replacing parts and keeping accurate, detailed service records
Recording labour and parts correctly and efficiently
Maintaining a tidy and safe work environment, including company vehicles
Communicating with the manager regarding job progress and timelines
Ordering parts to ensure work is completed efficiently
Keeping customers informed and recommending additional required work
Working as part of a cohesive, respectful team and sharing knowledge with others
