We're a growing Tier 2 / Tier 3 construction company delivering challenging, high-quality projects across New Zealand.
We're looking for a hands-on Site Manager / Working Foreman who can lead from the front, take full ownership of outcomes, and isn't afraid to jump in when the job demands it.

THE ROLE
This position is approximately 70% off the tools / 30% on the tools, depending on the project and programme.
You'll be trusted to:- Run day-to-day site operations and overall delivery
- Lead Health & Safety on site (SWMS, toolbox talks, compliance, culture)
- Programme works and manage sequencing to keep jobs moving
- Coordinate and control subcontractors
- Maintain quality, methodology, and build standards
- Interpret plans, specifications, and construction documentation
- Work flexible hours when required (including nights or shutdowns)
- Ensure all works comply with the NZ Building Act, NZS 3604, and relevant codes
Projects vary and will require travel throughout New Zealand.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're after someone who:- Is a proven Site Manager or senior Foreman
- Can run a site without being micromanaged
- Is strong on Health & Safety leadership (not just paperwork)
- Understands programming and sequencing properly
- Knows how to manage subcontractors - and isn't afraid to hold the line
- Wants to upskill, grow, and step into greater responsibility
In short - someone who treats the site like it's their own.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED):- Strong understanding of the NZ Building Act and NZS 3604
- Trade background (carpentry preferred)
- Site Safe / ConstructSafe (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to read and manage drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and leadership skills
LBP is an advantage, but not essential for the right person.
