Avanti Automotive is a well-established, busy workshop in Epsom with a loyal local customer base. We're a small, close-knit team that takes pride in high-quality workmanship, honest service, and strong relationships. Many people in our industry move around - but our team tends to stay, because we look after each other and enjoy what we do.
We're now looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing business.
About the Role
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles to a high standard and in line with manufacturer requirements. This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and working in a professional but easy-going environment.
Key responsibilities include:- Servicing and maintaining vehicles to a high standard
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Working collaboratively within a small team
- Clear communication with front-of-house staff
- Communicating with customers when required (bookings, authorisations, information)
- Maintaining a clean, organised workspace
What we're looking for
To be considered for this position, you will need to hold a NZQA Certificate (or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering and have previous experience working on European vehicles.
Other important skills and attributes include:- A current Full Drivers licence
- WOF certification is an advantage
- Confident using modern diagnostic equipment
- Computer literate (workshop software and information systems)
- High standards of professionalism and personal presentation
- A team player with integrity, honesty, and pride in workmanship
- Passion for the trade and a desire to keep learning and growing
