  • At Civic Waste and WasteCo, we're a long standing supplier of services to NZ cities. We contract to Councils and Private Companies for waste removal, road/hard surface sweeping, removing graffiti, water blasting, pavement cleaning and more!

    We're now seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Hamilton / Waikato operations.

    This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day performance of the branch, including operational delivery, people leadership, health & safety, financial performance, and supporting regional sales growth. You'll work closely with the Regional Manager, Business Development team, and key clients to ensure WasteCo remains a trusted and preferred supplier in the region.

    As Branch Manager, you will:
    • Lead and manage branch operations, currently overseeing 4 direct reports and approximately 28 field staff
    • Ensure contracts are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
    • Take responsibility (with senior leadership) for financial performance and cost control across contracts
    • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
    • Represent WasteCo at client, council, and stakeholder meetings
    • Drive a strong health & safety culture and high-performance team environment
    • Contribute as a key member of the wider WasteCo management team
    • Support sales activity and identify growth opportunities across the Hamilton/Waikato region
    To be successful in this role, you will bring:
    • At least 3 years' experience in a similar management role
    • Background in an industrial environment such as waste, construction, civil, or logistics
    • Strong people leadership skills with a focus on performance and accountability
    • Solid commercial and operational acumen
    • Experience working with council or local authority contracts (highly regarded)
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • A practical, solutions-focused leadership style
