    • At Wairarapa Hunting & Fishing, we currently have opportunities for enthusiastic Full Time Retail Sales Assistants. You'll join our busy and expanding, purpose built store working across our Clothing or Diving, Fishing and Camping departments.

    You'll play an important role assisting and selling products to our customers, serving them at the front counter, organising and replenishing stock, and merchandising.

    These are a full time permanent roles. We are a seven day a week business; weekdays from 8.30am - 5.30pm, Saturdays 8.30am - 4.30pm & Sundays 9.00 - 4.00pm. This role will involve rotational or split weekend work.

    We're looking for a team player, someone with a can do attitude and excellent customer service skills.

    We pride ourselves on our strong product knowledge and genuine interest in all things hunting, fishing, camping, diving and clothing so we need people who believe in our products and can relate to our customers!

    You will need to be able to display:
    • Previous clothing, diving, fishing or camping experience in a retail environment is essential
    • Prior merchandising or procurement experience will be a strong advantage
    • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
    • An interest in getting to know all of our products and the activities we promote
    • The ability to work well in a team and are also able to work unsupervised
    • An honest and reliable work ethic
    • An eye for detail
    • A proactive and energetic approach to work
    • Excellent personal presentation
    • Computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems
