Robertson & Sinclair Ltd is wholly Kiwi owned and operated and has been in business for over 60 years. We are a supplier of industrial tooling and machinery, as well as running a sharpening workshop.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Saw Doctor to join our small team in Penrose, Auckland.
In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, sharpening and maintenance of a wide range of saws and cutting tools. You will work with modern equipment, high-quality tooling, and a team that values safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Sharpening, servicing and maintaining circular saws, band saws, carbide-tipped tools and other cutting equipment
- Diagnosing wear, damage and performance issues
- Setting, tensioning and balancing saw blades
- Operating grinding and sharpening machinery
- Maintaining workshop records and ensuring all work meets required standards
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment
To be considered you will need:- A relevant level 4 qualification or 3+ years experience as a Saw Doctor
- CNC experience and multi axis tooling capabilities (essential)
- Strong understanding of sharpening and maintenance processes
- Ability to read technical specifications and follow precise measurements
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Benefits:- $25 - $28 per hour aligned with experience
