Handle Solutions is a second-generation New Zealand business supplying and installing high-quality door hardware and bathroom accessories for residential and commercial projects nationwide. With deep industry roots and a reputation for reliability, we're continuing to grow - and we're looking for a skilled Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
About the Role
As our Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in supporting the sales and project teams by preparing accurate take-offs, costings, and documentation for projects across the country. Your work ensures clients receive clear, timely, and competitive proposals - and that our installation teams are set up with what they need to deliver.
Your responsibilities will include:- Completing detailed take-offs and estimates from architectural drawings
- Preparing quotes, schedules, and pricing for door hardware and bathroom accessory packages
- Liaising with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and technical details
- Working closely with our project managers and sales representatives
- Reviewing plans for variations, specification changes, and compliance requirements
- Ensuring all estimates are accurate, competitive, and delivered on time
- Maintaining organised and up-to-date costing and project documentation
What We're Looking For:- Experience as an estimator or quantity surveyor (construction industry preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and high numerical accuracy
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and building plans
- Confident with estimating software or willing to learn our in-house systems
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider team
- Knowledge of door hardware or bathroom accessories is a bonus - but training will be provided
