Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Pavement Site Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pavement construction, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers.
- Inspect work progress and equipment to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met.
- Read drawings to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
- Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
- Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
- Order or requisition materials or supplies.
- Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings.
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Pavement Site Foreman would be beneficial.
- In-depth knowledge of pavement construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
- Ability to read drawings and plans.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to turning up every day ready to work.
