    • Proudly NZ owned and operated since 2004, HeliSupport is one of the countries leading helicopter, maintenance, repair and overhaul companies. HeliSupport maintains over 50 helicopters nationally and provides services for Avionics, Refinishing and Parts & Logistics.

    We are currently seeking a full-time Painter to join our team of three in Wanaka. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes real pride in producing high-quality finishes and enjoys being part of a tight-knit workshop team.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Preparing aircraft and components for refinishing, including surface prep and masking
    • Paint removal and application on aircraft and components including painting new aircraft deliveries.
    • Completing basic administration, such as booking out supplies, consumables, and online time sheeting
    • General workshop duties including cleaning paint guns, sweeping floors, maintaining tidy work areas, and monitoring stock levels
    Ideal Candidate:
    • Previous experience in aircraft painting, automotive painting or industrial coatings would be highly advantageous
    • Strong awareness of chemical safety and confidence reading and following safety data sheets
    • A full or restricted driver licence, as the airport is not accessible via public transport
    • Detail-oriented, safety-focused and reliable
    • Able to follow precise instructions and produce consistent, high-quality work
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
