We're looking for a Technician who brings not only technical skill, but professionalism, pride, and a genuine commitment to doing things properly. Someone who understands the importance of craftsmanship in a luxury brand environment.

Backgrounds that suit this role include qualified technicians from franchised dealerships, those with Toyota/Lexus experience, or experienced techs from other brands who value precision, process, and continuous learning.
You'll be responsible for:- Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on Lexus and other vehicles, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and "fix it right the first time" standards.
- Complete all jobs within manufacturer-recommended times while maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Accurately document all labour, service work, additional findings, and use of time in line with dealership and Lexus NZ requirements.
- Conduct safe test drives before and after repairs, verifying concerns and ensuring repairs meet quality-control expectations.
- Collaborate professionally with Service Advisors, Parts, Sales, and Workshop leadership to support seamless customer service and authorisation of work.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment, follow all safety procedures, and participate in ongoing Lexus technical training and upskilling.
Ideal skills and attributes will include:- Qualified Automotive Technician with proven experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair (Lexus/Toyota experience preferred but not essential).
- Strong diagnostic capability with the ability to accurately identify faults and complete repairs within manufacturer timeframes.
- Full NZ driver's licence with confidence test-driving a variety of vehicles safely.
- High attention to detail, including accurate repair order interpretation and precise recording of work performed.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and maintaining a clean, organised work environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts, and Workshop leadership.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing Lexus training, keep up to date with new models, and maintain required tools for the role.
