Tamaki Marine Park are an innovative company who are passionate about boating & providing excellent customer service to our clients. We operate a Dry Stack, Boat Yard and Marina on the Tamaki River in Mt Wellington.
We are now looking to expand and require a Marina, Dry Stack & Boat Park Operator to join our vibrant and friendly team. This is a great opportunity to work in an exciting, rewarding and fulfilling industry with a great team.
While knowledge or experience with boats is an advantage, no previous experience is necessary - we will provide you with full training! As our Boat Park Operator you will be involved with all things within the dry stack, marina and boat yard.

- Opportunity to operate a variety of marine equipment and machinery, including marine forklifts, tractor units, boats, and boat haulout trailers
Our ideal candidate will have a can do attitude, prepared to get involved and outstanding customer service skills. Pre-experience operating heavy machinery would be helpful but training specific to site machinery would be supplied. We are looking for someone who has the desire to exceed our clients' expectations by going that extra mile. Additionally, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:- Being responsible for safe hauling and launching of all vessels in the complex.
- Completing all documentation relating to boat movements.
- Water blasting of boats.
- Ensuring customers are attended to promptly and dealt with in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Reporting any damage / maintenance issues.
- Assisting vessels in the marina as required, including moving customer vessels within the marina and elsewhere in safe and respectful manner.
- Attending to all yard and building maintenance requirements as directed.
- Maintaining all machinery as required in the service manuals.
- Ensuring yard, buildings, and marinas are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
To succeed in this role you will need to be fit and energetic, with a can-do attitude and good hand-eye coordination. You will also be able to work autonomously and take initiative.
You will also need:- A current restricted or full driver's licence (F endorsement an advantage)
- Forklift, tractor and hydraulic experience is an advantage
- Prior heavy machinery experience is an advantage
This is a full time role working 7:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday and rostered weekends to meet business demand.
