    We are looking for a super star Dealership Maintenance Technician to join our Northern Bays Toyota team.

    Our group has four Toyota sites across North Shore and West Auckland, as well as a Lexus dealership, and two Bridgestone stores. Our kind, diverse and talented team of around 170 is what sets us apart. We've proud to have served the wider Auckland community for over 30 years.

    About the role

    The Dealership Maintenance Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and functionality of an organisation's physical infrastructure across all our sites. This position oversees all aspects of building maintenance, equipment upkeep, and facility management and combining hands-on technical expertise.

    Work includes:
    • Maintain workshop tools, signage, furniture, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and building exteriors.
    • Care for lawns, garden beds, indoor plants, and keep outdoor areas tidy and well-presented.
    • Conduct fire safety checks, manage PPE and first aid supplies, and support contractor setup and oversight.
    • Assist with basic AV setups, cable management, and respond quickly to service requests across all sites.
    • Assist the IT team with inventory management
    To thrive as a Dealership Maintenance Technician, you'll need a solid mix of technical know-how, leadership capabilities, and strong organisational skills. Success in this role means being a proactive problem-solver, a clear and confident communicator, and someone who prioritises safety and regulatory compliance. You should be hands-on, capable of planning and executing preventative maintenance schedules, and ready to lead by example in maintaining efficient, safe, and well-functioning facilities. We'll be looking for the following experience and skills:

    Required:
    • Proven experience in facilities management, building operations, and maintenance services.
    • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
    • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
    • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
    • Strong attention to detail and time management.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Experience with roof repairs
    Ideally:
    • Trade certified e.g., electrical, plumbing, building
    • Health and safety trained (e.g., Site Safe, First Aid)
    • Certified to Work at Heights or equivalent safety training
