To assist our next wave of growth, we're seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor and Estimator to join our team and lead cost planning, tendering, and financial forecasting across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates and feasibility studies for new projects
Analyse drawings and specifications to produce detailed bills of quantities
Manage tender submissions and subcontractor pricing
Track project costs, variations, and financial performance
Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure budget alignment
Support the Financial Controller with forecasting and reporting
Achieve gains through improving tools and processes
Requirements:
Proven experience in quantity surveying and estimating within NZ construction
Strong knowledge of NZS3910 and other relevant contract standards
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar)
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
Equally comfortable being precise in the office and visiting construction sites
