AgSpares are based in Kamo, Whangarei and are an established retailer of new and used tractor parts servicing New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific. We are part of APS Group NZ Ltd who also operate businesses in Construction Hire and Construction Machinery Sales so there is plenty of variety in the role
Ideally you will have a good mechanical aptitude, be experienced in lifting and shifting with chains, strops etc. and possibly have or had a forklift licence.
The role is effectively a support role for our two Diesel Mechanics and will involve a variety of tasks such as:- Cleaning and detailing machines.
- Detailing and maintaining used tractors for sale on our yard.
- Maintaining and tidying the workshop and yard.
- Dismantling and cleaning (waterblasting) tractors for used parts.
- Repair and paint used parts and machinery.
- Sourcing used parts from our dismantling yard.
- Tyre changing.
- Hydraulic hose repair and maintenance using a crimping machine.
- Forklift loading, unloading and materials shifting.
- Used parts freight dispatch.
You might not have experience in all of the above but if you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach you.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) working Monday to Friday (we value our weekends!) between 7.30am and 5.00pm.
For this position you will need to have NZ residency or a valid NZ Work Visa. A full NZ Drivers Licence is also required and we'll throw in forklift licence training if you need it.
