About Roof Safe Gutter Solutions
We are a local and trusted company with over 28 years' experience in providing roofing maintenance & repairs, gutter cleaning, permanent gutter protection solutions and installing "at height" roofing safety systems for homeowners, property managers and body corporates throughout Otago and Southland. As a small, family-run business, we take pride in quality workmanship, reliability, and a great team culture. We're now looking for a driven, Qualified Roofer to join our Queenstown Lakes team.
About the role
This is a hands-on, full-time position ideal for an experienced roofer ready to take the next step in their career. You'll be responsible for leading an existing team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring high standards of safety and workmanship are maintained on every job.
Key Responsibilities:- Scoping and assessing jobs for quoting
- Drawing up and ordering flashings
- Leading and managing a team of 2-5 roofers
- Training and mentoring team members
- Running and overseeing roofing projects from start to finish
- Installing metal roofing materials, including flashings and long-run iron
What you'll need
Experience & Qualifications:- Qualified roofer, or a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in roofing
- Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) or able to obtain this
- Proven experience leading or supervising small teams
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, flashings, and long-run iron installation
Licences & Certifications:- Full NZ Driver's Licence (must be able to drive manual vehicles)
- Working at Heights and Site Safe certification (preferred but not essential)
Other Requirements:- Good level of fitness - some heavy lifting involved
- Ideally have your own vehicle and tools
- Must be able to pass a drug test
