An opportunity has recently become available for a Night Shift Operator / Leading Hand to join our friendly and fun team based in Waiuku. This is your chance to join a growing business that's doing real good for the planet, while developing valuable leadership and technical skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:- Operate and oversee extruders and other production machinery to meet targets and quality standards
- Take the lead on maintenance and troubleshooting, working with internal staff and external providers
- Train and support staff on machinery use and factory processes
- Recommend improvements to boost plant efficiency and productivity
- Assist with recruiting new team members
- Ensure a safe, compliant, and productive work environment
- Pitch in with other related tasks as needed
To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate:- Proven reliability, initiative, and a strong work ethic
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience in a factory or production setting
- Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of safe machine operation
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Full, unrestricted Class 1 driver's license
- Forklift license or ability to obtain
This is a full time NIGHT SHIFT position working Monday to Friday 3:30pm - 1:30am.
