  • Established in New Zealand since 1947, McMillan Drilling are one of the largest and leading multifaceted drilling companies in New Zealand.

    We are currently seeking a skilled Estimator / Project Co-ordinator to join our Pukekohe team in a full time role. You will play a key role in developing the contractual and financial framework for drilling projects, working collaboratively within an experienced team.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Interpret client specifications and technical requirements.
    • Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
    • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress.
    • Play a key role in managing contracts, procurement, and project documentation.
    • Contribute to the developing and driving of variations and progress claims.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and contractual standards.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project goals.
    • Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
    Skills & Experience

    We're looking for someone who brings both technical know-how and strong people skills to the role. You'll have:
    • 4-6 years' experience in civil, drilling, geotechnical, or environmental engineering projects
    • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
    • Strong numerical and analytical ability with a high level of attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams and with clients
    • Sound knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and relevant legislation
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project planning tools, and quantity surveying or project management software
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • A proactive, team-oriented approach with the confidence to work independently when required
