  • Salt Projects is a growing Auckland residential construction company specialising in renovations, new builds, reclads, and now civil works. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, clear communication, and practical solutions. With a team of 16, we work across a variety of residential and civil projects, delivering solid results for our clients.

    We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Wairau, North Shore. This is a full time position, and will involve working 5 days per week (flexible).

    What you'll be doing:
    • Measuring and pricing residential and light civil construction projects
    • Preparing quotes, tender submissions, variations, and construction programmes
    • Assisting with scheduling, subcontractor engagement, and procurement
    • Supporting project financial tracking, reporting, and documentation
    • Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
    • Picking up materials and assisting with site coordination as needed
    • General office and project administration support
    What We're Looking For

    To be successful in this role, you'll have a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction, or demonstrate equivalent hands-on experience that shows your strong understanding of construction processes, cost management, and project coordination.

    You'll also need proven experience in residential construction (onsite experience is a real bonus) and be comfortable juggling pricing, admin, and on-site tasks as part of your week.

    We're after someone who's proactive, reliable, and has a genuine "get stuck in" attitude. You'll be down-to-earth, a team player, and eager to learn and grow with the company - making this role your own over time.

    You'll also bring:
    • Confidence in reading and interpreting plans
    • Strong attention to detail and solid numeracy skills
    • Proficiency with Excel, spreadsheets, and construction software
    • A current NZ driver's licence and valid work rights
    • Interest in both the building and civil sides of construction
