The role
Reporting to our Managing Director, you'll oversee our small but vital warehouse team and keep things running smoothly. This is a hands-on supervisory role - you'll be leading by example while making sure systems, people, and products all stay on track.
What you'll be doing:- Leading day-to-day warehouse operations, and liaising with other departments as well as suppliers, to ensure workflows run efficiently
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting team members
- Receipting & unloading deliveries in a timely and accurate manner
- Actioning sales, purchase and transfer orders
- Ensuring accurate stock control with rolling counts & quality checks
- Overseeing picking, packing & dispatching of orders
- Using ISO-based techniques to drive continuous improvement in warehouse layout, quality systems and Health & Safety
- Using our inventory software (training provided)
- Maintaining a clean, organised & efficient warehouse
What we're looking for:- Proven experience in warehouse supervision/management
- Organised, detail-focused and methodical
- Strong leadership skills - can get the best out of people to meet team KPIs
- Flexible, calm and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communicator - written, verbal & computer skills
- Physically fit (on your feet most of the day, lifting cartons safely)
- Current forklift and order picker licences are desired
- Strong H&S skills, focused on maintaining a zero-harm workplace
