We are a small, family-owned business based in Ohope, and we are looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to support our office workload.
Hours for the role are:- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Our office is located on a farm, so this role offers a more unique setting than a typical office job. As a small team, we value flexibility - this position is varied and involves supporting three businesses simultaneously: JBHA Brosnahan, Whakatane Pallets and Resurgam Angus Stud.
You will be responsible for:- Managing accounts payable and receivable (Xero)
- Preparing invoices and handling accounts using Xero
- Updating our Facebook page and Shopify store
- Processing and tracking customer orders
- Responding to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Managing account reconciliation and financial records
- Monitoring and following up on the Shopify platform
- General administrative support as needed
We're after someone who will fit naturally into our family team - positive, proactive, outgoing and with an interest in agricultural industries.
The ideal candidate will be:- Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on varied tasks
- A strong communicator, both by phone and email
- Competent with numbers and basic accounting systems (Xero experience is a plus)
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Confident using online platforms such as Shopify and Facebook
- Organised, reliable, and proactive in their approach to work
- Hold a current NZ Drivers licence
- Hold NZ Citizenship or Permanent Residency
