San Architecture is a small, well-established architectural design company with a strong track record across the industrial, residential, and commercial sectors. We're looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join our close-knit team and help take projects from concept through to construction documentation and consent.
This is a key role working closely with the Director, offering the opportunity to contribute across a range of project types and stages.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:- Producing detailed drawings and documentation from concept to construction stage
- Coordinating with consultants, contractors, and councils
- Managing and navigating building consent and compliance processes
- Contributing to a range of exciting and varied projects, mostly in the industrial sector
To be considered for this position, you'll need to demonstrate:- Minimum 7 years' experience in the New Zealand building industry (a little less considered for the right person)
- Strong knowledge of NZ Building Codes, Standards, and compliance pathways
- Proficient in ArchiCAD (version 28 preferred)
- Experience with Twinmotion would be a bonus
- Industrial project experience is advantageous
- H1 compliance knowledge
- High standard of construction detailing and drawing output
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and councils
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Motivated, reliable, and collaborative
