Odyssey House Trust Christchurch is a leader in the field of Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug treatment. Our 'Take Charge' team works alongside young people with mental health concerns to support them into employment and walk alongside them and the employers.
In this role, you will be:- Delivering workshops (group facilitation) to young people currently receiving a Work and Income benefit
- Motivating and directing young people through all job seeking processes
- Building and maintaining relationships with employers and community organisations ensuring sustainable employment connections
- Matching skills and strengths of young people with the needs of employers and industry
- Post placement, maintaining a relationship with the young person's employer and providing advice and support if needed to help keep the young person employed.
To be successful, you will:- Have existing relationships with employers/training providers
- Be a strong communicator in groups and one on one.
- Have a strong team focus and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Be organised to maintain a busy schedule diary
- Have a full NZ drivers licence
