    • At Fibre Reinforced Plastics, we are a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company and are the leading manufacturer of fibreglass products.

    We require a motivated and enthusiastic Vehicle Body Builder to join our team, based in Henderson, Auckland.

    You'll be responsible for manufacturing and repairing prototype production units and purpose-built vehicle bodies.

    Tasks will include:
    • constructing framework sections in metal, fibreglass and other materials using shaping machines and cutting and welding equipment
    • bolting, screwing, riveting and welding sections together to form complete frameworks
    • cutting and shaping panels of sheetmetal, aluminium and reinforced plastic and attaching to frameworks using hand and power tools
    • modifying assembly line vehicles to special requirements
    • preparing new vehicle trim work according to drawings and sketches, and removing old coverings and fittings from vehicles and taking new measurements
    • installing internal trim in vehicles such as lining, floor coverings and armrests
    • attaching door trims, rubber seals, locks and handles
    To be considered for this position, you will need to have at least 2-3 years' experience in the tasks above.

    The successful candidate will also have the following skills:
    • Good with your hands and using tools
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent time keeping and work ethics
    Some heavy lifting is required in this role, therefore you must be physically fit.

    • Excellent working conditions
    • Hourly rate between $26-29.66 (aligned with experience)
    • Permanent role (minimum 40 hours per week)
    • Overtime when available
