We are currently looking for an experienced Finance & Administration Officer to join our growing team!
The Finance & Administration Officer will support the CFO with day-to-day finance processing while supporting wider business administration. Supporting the CFO, this role is central to ensuring smooth financial operations, seamless office support, and accurate reporting to management. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced FMCG/3PL environment, be comfortable juggling priorities, and demonstrate attention to detail alongside a solutions-focused mindset.
What You'll Do:- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
- Issue sales invoices and assist with debtor management, including following up on overdue payments.
- Process supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payment runs.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
- Support payroll processing (preparation, timesheets, reconciliations), during leave absences.
- Assist with annual budgeting and audit requirements.
- Oversee general office administration, including coordination of supplies, systems, and services.
- Maintain company records, compliance documentation, and filing systems (physical and digital).
- Assist with HR administration, including onboarding documentation, leave tracking, and training records.
- Provide Health & Safety administration support (e.g., updating registers, filing incident reports).
- Coordinate internal meetings, reporting packs, and communications for management.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across finance and administration.
What We're Looking For:- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a finance and administrative role, preferably in FMCG, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Sound knowledge of accounting practices and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (Xero, MYOB, or SAP experience advantageous).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for reconciliations and reporting.
- Strong understanding of AP/AR processes and general ledger entries.
- Confident in managing multiple workflows with strong organisational ability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solver who can identify issues and actively contribute to solutions.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements in food/beverage and/or warehousing environments desirable.
- High level of integrity and professionalism - trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and committed to delivering quality outputs.
- Proactive and adaptable, able to take ownership and show initiative in a varied role.
- Team player with a positive, approachable attitude and willingness to support across functions.
- Resilient under pressure and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
