We are looking for an Analyst who can support the growth of our new Online Supermarket to deliver more choice to Kiwi's where they buy their groceries.
The role would be supporting the Business Manager to ensure our business continues to expand in an efficient and profitable manner. This role can offer the right candidate variety, influence and career growth.
Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:- Checks cost and retail pricing
- Ordering
- Reviewing cost prices against that agreed.
- Analysing our retail prices against the market, to optimise sales and margin.
- Analyse sales and market trends to make recommendations about supplier and product range.
- Analysing key costs such as shipping, labour and marketing and making recommendations.
- Communicating stock issues and opportunities.
- Collaborating with existing and new suppliers to deliver on our strategy
- Proactively identify opportunities for process simplification and improvement of systems
- Continuously review performance metrics, identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with management on long-term planning and sales promotions.
- Supporting the business with corporate orders
- Assisting the Business Manager as required.
About you:
This role could suit a graduate who is looking for that first step to learn and develop their skills or someone with work experience looking for a role that has a bigger influence on the business:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence in Excel reporting.
- The ability and willingness to learn new software programs as required, eg Shopify
- A Tertiary qualification in a relevant analytical field (Finance, Commerce, Economics, or similar).
- An interest or experience within the grocery/retail sector.
- Demonstrated skills to engage with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work within a team environment to proactively contribute.
- A willingness to get their hands dirty if required during peak selling events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand with full working rights.
