We are looking for a skilled Pool and Spa Valet Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of pool and spa equipment, ensuring safe water quality, and delivering excellent customer service.
Location: Auckland
Employment type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay range: $30 - $35 per hour
Hours of work: minimum 40 hours per week
Key responsibilities include:- Customer Service - Providing advice on pool and spa care, answering questions, and maintaining clear professional communication.
- Installation - Installing new or replacement pumps, filters, automated systems, and other ancillary equipment, as well as providing demonstrations for clients.
- Regular Maintenance - Cleaning pools and spas, vacuuming, brushing, skimming, testing and balancing water chemistry, inspecting and cleaning filters and pumps, and backwashing filters.
- Equipment Repair - Diagnosing and repairing issues with pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and other pool and spa equipment quickly and efficiently.
- Record Keeping - Maintaining accurate records of service visits, test results, and repairs.
- Safety Compliance - Following safety procedures when working with chemicals and electrical equipment, ensuring pools and spas meet safety standards.
Skills and experience required:- NZ Level 3 qualification or at least three years of relevant work experience in pool/spa maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of pool and spa equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and water chemistry.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair technical issues.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and carry out manual work.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
