We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our operations, drive business performance, and provide strategic and operational support across both locations.
Position Overview:
The General Manager will oversee key areas of the business - strategy, operations, financial performance, marketing, service, and team leadership. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a practical understanding of service-based technical industries. You will work closely with both the New Plymouth head office and Hamilton branch to ensure consistency, efficiency, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Service & Customer Management
- Human Resource Management
- Marketing & Brand Management
- Business Operations & Financial Performance
- Oversee Health & Safety compliance and staff training across both sites
- Manage business IT systems, software, and communications infrastructure
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities across both locations
Skills & Experience Required:- Proven experience in a General Manager and/or Operations Manager, or senior leadership role
- Strong operational, commercial and people management capabilities
- Experience in technical services, power generation or compressed air systems preferred
- High-level planning and strategic thinking with the ability to execute effectively
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with computers & IT
- Deep understanding of New Zealand business, employment, and safety regulations
