About the role
Traditionally in After Sales departments, you have Parts Interpreters who work for the Parts side and you have Service Advisors who work for the Service side. This role is combination of both of those jobs, where you'll spend about 80% of your time working in Parts, and 20% of your time working Service. This role is a Group level role, which means you will float between all of our sites (Wairau Valley, Henderson, New Lynn and Hobsonville), doing After Sales work for all of them. This kind of experience and knowledge will set you up for a long and successful career in After Sales.
Parts:
Working closely with the Workshop Controller to ensure the team can work as safely and as efficiently as possible.
Maintaining knowledge of catalogue parts, to help build quality relationships with our suppliers and customers.
Managing the parts sales process.
Communicating with our customers and suppliers e.g., understanding their queries at the counter, answering their calls, and managing their queries, advising customers when their deliveries have arrived, advising customers of parts availability and pricing, etc.
Safe and secure storage of our stock
Maintaining inventory control and proper stock levels.
Providing parts backup support at our other Toyota sites (we have three other sites).
Service:
Welcoming customers into the service department and making sure they are checked in on time.
Carrying out the service walkaround of our customers' vehicles (not just Toyotas!) asking them about their vehicle and the collection process.
Working with the Workshop and within our CRM system to ensure a seamless customer experience. This includes looking at the customer's name before they arrive so you can greet them, removing roadblocks, and reviewing the loan car status.
Communicating the status of jobs to our customers clearly and in simple language.
Invoicing, costing, and filing all job cards daily.
Reconciling banking and passing tour internal Banking team.
Costing any Warranty and Toyota Care claims.

To be considered for this role, you must have these skills, experience and attributes:
NZ citizen or resident
A clean and full driver's licence
At least 1 year experience in automotive Parts
At least 1 year customer service experience
Flexible and willing to go with the flow - this will be crucial in the role as you'll be called to all of our sites at short notice
A desire to work across lots of parts of After Sales
Be punctual and reliable - this is a key to success!
Use initiative, good at following instructions when required
Enjoy working with customers to understand their needs
Be a good team player and have a warm and positive mindset
Be able to build good relationships with your colleagues
Having experience in Toyota will help an applicant stand out, as well as any Service Advisor experience too!
