We're looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our team. This full-time position involves working both in the workshop and out in the field, servicing tractors and a wide range of modern agricultural equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission faults
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Use diagnostic tools and service software to troubleshoot machinery issues
- Maintain detailed service records and follow safety procedures
- Assist clients with professional support both on-site and in the workshop
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently
To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to demonstrate:- Relevant trade certificate or proven experience in a similar role
- Experience as a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is desirable but not essential
- Full NZ driver's licence
- Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrics
- Diagnostic expertise - able to identify issues quickly and accurately
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Comfortable using service software and diagnostic tools
- Experience with John Deere Service Advisor is a bonus, but not essential
- Self-motivated and hardworking
- Excellent communication skill
- Able to work both independently and within a team
- Positive attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Organised and reliable

This is a full-time, permanent position with hours that vary depending on job location and workload - overtime is frequently required during peak seasons and is well compensated with penalty rates for additional hours and call-outs.
