HR Engineering is a medium-sized, well-established family owned company carrying out a wide variety of work from small fabrication jobs to heavy transport and everything in between. The business has been built on providing great service with a can-do attitude. We have three separate dedicated workshops; a machine shop, steel fabrication workshop, and stainless steel/aluminium workshop all situated on the one site in central Blenheim.
The Marlborough region offers all your outdoor and indoor activities from all sports, hunting, fishing, yachting, tramping, and skiing, just to name a few - to wineries, restaurants, shopping, bars, indoor stadiums and pools - endless activities for young and old.
We are now on the lookout for a skilled and trade-qualified Machinist to join our hands-on, enthusiastic team.
You will be responsible for:- Machining new parts and repairing used parts.
- Dismantling, diagnosing, repairing, and reassembling machinery and components.
- Occasional on-site work or breakdown jobs as needed.

We are looking for someone who:- Is a qualified machinist with proven experience.
- Works confidently unattended and follows instructions precisely.
- Has strong attention to detail and works to tight tolerances.
- Communicates well and fits in with a close-knit team.
Bonus points if you have:- MIG, TIG & Stick welding experience.
- Line boring knowledge or experience.
- General fabrication and fitting skills.
This is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday 8;00am - 5:00pm.
