    We are currently seeking a talented Intermediate Project Manager to join our team based in Parnell.

    As Project Manager, you will be responsible for accomplishing project objectives by initiating, planning and managing project activities, and coordinating professional staff, consultants, and contractors, ensuring quality output is delivered on all projects to contractual fee budgets and programme baselines.

    Key duties will include, but will not be limited to:
    • Develop project feasibility studies and design documentation.
    • Manage creation of jobs including proposal writing and pre-start workflow setup.
    • Job management and monitoring within contractual fee budgets.
    • Variation and scope change management.
    • Engineering project management services including asset renewal scoping, documentation, procurement and construction monitoring and administration.
    • Procure, arrange and manage professional design and planning team.
    • Create schedule of prices and engineer's estimates.
    • Create, manage, track and report on projects.
    • Organise the setup of site files and quality assurance.
    • Hold regular meetings with contractors and clients.
    • Communicate with clients about schedule, budget, changes to scope, quality issues.
    • Monitor project schedules and resolve schedule issues with involved teams.
    • Public stakeholder consultation and communications.
    • Contract administration and writing CCCS and NZS3910 RFx and contract documentation.
    • Health and Safety audits of contractor's sites.
    • Tender evaluation.
    • Technical engineering site observation and testing.
    • Roading contract observations and audits.
    • Anticipate and resolve any issues.
    • Manage variation process.
    To be considered for this position, you will need to be proactive, organised, and bring a strong attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and will be comfortable wearing many hats in a dynamic consultancy.

    You will need to demonstrate:
    • At least 2 years experience in a professional engineering consultancy or large civil contractor
    • An Engineering tertiary qualification
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills - both written and verbal
    • Willing to learn and undertake continuous professional development
    • Strong time management skills
    • Able to meet deadlines and to a high standard
